Well, I've been home for more than a week, and it's both nice and awful. I like being able to sleep, but there's not much to do around here. I can go to karate again, yay, but the internet connection is depressingly slow. Thank goodness it's not dialup, that's all I can say! So I've not been doing too much - I still have to finish unpacking. o_o; Fortunately, we got Dad's exercise bike out of my room. Now my room seems five times bigger. It's great. ^^ I've been busy making clay dragons - I had 18, but my mom bought one, and a friend wants one of 'em. My mom thinks I should have 60 for Old Homes Day. Sounds like a bit much to me. <_<;;
In an attempt to alleviate boredom, I tried downloading Ragnarok Online - an MMORPG - just to see what it was like. Well, lo and behold, I got it up and running today and it turns out that they started a subscription service yesterday! Aaaargh! I have such phenominally bad timing! This makes me mad - there's no way I'm going to pay $12 a month for a game that I just wanted to take a look at. I mean, EverQuest is cheaper than that! And there's no guarantee that RO would even run on my computer. *pouts* Oh well, so that's out. Guess I'm stuck with good old Aardwolf MUD. *sighs*
Still, there's still some good that came from that disappointment. I'm doing pretty well music-wise. I got a whole bunch of Ragnarok Online tunes - there were about 50 mp3s that came with the game. Guess that's the only thing I'm keeping. :P They're quite good too. Hm, I am also going to get some copies of the Matrix Reloaded CDs - they are quite good. And I went to Borders yesterday and bought 2 new CDs as well. One was a sampler that was only $4, and it's really really good. Evil Borders trying to sucker me into buying all the featured CDs. And I just might - they're good! ^^; So I guess I'm well stocked when it comes to music.
Here's the really depressing thing, though - I can't update my website from home! This makes me very very sad. o~o I have all these pictures scanned in and stuff, but MIT's firewalls keep me from being able to connect up to transfer files. Aargh! The world is against me! Anyway, I should go and do something more productive than sitting around here, griping about my current condition. Hrm. It's actually sunny today. I don't understand why it's always rainy and gloomy on the weekends, and then the weekdays are gorgeous. Oh well, at least I can enjoy the sun, unlike my sisters. Only 3 more weeks of having the house to myself!
