Today was Sarah's birthday (Happy Birthday, Sarah!). Things were a bit rough.... But I think it worked out okay in the end, thank goodness. I drew fish pictures for her, and also chipped in to get the explodingdog book, which is the greatest thing ever. I'd been planning on getting that for her for months. So yay.
Oh, happy story - I was down at the computer quickstation earlier tonight, trying to find Jim so that we could do cake and stuff. As I was waiting for the computer session to load, this guy walked past me, did a double-take, and then exclaimed, "Wicked background!" So that made me happy. (My MIT computer background is the Link background that I drew last year)
Thank goodness I have nothing due tomorrow. I've been up so late every night, doing work. Mostly bio-related too, but I guess that's what happens when you are taking two biology classes. I had an Algorithms test on Monday - worst thing ever. I was late, and it was hard, and I know I did so bad. Prelab writeups for Bio Lab take me forever, mostly because that's also when I work on interpretation questions, and I'm really slow with them. There was also insane SciComm writing, and it wasn't nearly as good as I wanted it to be. I also had a Genetics test on Wednesday. I was up late doing SciComm and studying, but I think I understood the test pretty well - I felt pretty good about it. Of course, I got an average of four hours of sleep per night this week, so that was pretty sad. Of course, this also means that I'm going to bed as soon as I finish typing this, so I can actually get a full night of rest for once.
I'm going home this weekend, since it's a three-day weekend. Woot. Vivian is coming to visit, and we are going to go apple picking. If the weather is nice, we might go hiking about over at the Robert Frost farm. Should be fun. I could totally use a break. And a haircut. :D
