Which One Does Not Belong: Books, Movies, Acapella, or Criminals?

Ready for today's bit of history trivia? On Friday, I was working at the library, and I was checking in the daily mail (that's when we get books returned from other libraries) and I found a collection of film magazines... And the cover of one caught my eye - I thought the guy looked awfully familiar, and then I realized that it was Evil from Time Bandits! Hah, that movie scared me... Probably because I saw it when I was like, six years old. The article was an interview with the director... And if you ever saw Time Bandits, and like me, thought it was really weird, then perhaps you'll be relieved to know that the director also co-directed for Monty Python and The Holy Grail. He's actually done a lot of stuff with the Pythons - I think he also did design for Life of Brian. That certainly explained a lot for me. :P Anyway, that's kind of the only cool thing that happened at work, and I thought it was rather enlightening.

I went to the acapella concert last night. The poor Chorallaries! All of their best members graudated last year, and they desperately need fresh talent. They also need new songs. And they need to let their guys sing. *sigh* On the other hand, the Logarhythms are starting to sound good again, and Resonance sounded great, although they need to work on stage presence. The Cross Products were so very happy - yay Daniel! And yeah, the Muses are still the worst. :P

Last night, Sarah and I did our Algorithms problem set because it was pretty easy and we wanted to get it over with (and we did, and I'm supposed to be tooling for other classes right now, but I'm kind of writing this <_<;). We were down in the dorm's dining hall because the lighting there is good, and it was nearly 3 a.m. and we were almost finished, and all of a sudden the alarm went off in the dining room and totally freaked us out. We looked over at the emergency exit, and there was this creepy guy outside, waving at us. To what? Let him in? I think not! Anyway, we were totally freaked out and left. The security guy never even went over to check or anything. It was sad. Nobody cares. We thought we saw a police car go by outside, because we saw blue lights for a moment, but then they went away. *shrug* There's been mention made of some criminal who was just let out of prison that might be at fault for the thefts going on around campus. Sarah brought up a good point that perhaps they should post this person's picture so we'd know who to look for. I didn't get a very good look at the guy last night, but he seemed dark-skinned and had a patterned shirt of some sort. Weird. I wonder if he thought the door was unlocked or something?

Today there was a dorm brunch for the families for Parents' Weekend. We went, and it was great. Too bad they can't make such good food during normal dorm dining. Oh, I've drawn some nice new pictures recently - only lineart though, so I need to color them before I can put them online. One's a quick picture of Na'veen, the other is of Koroko in a Japanese schoolgirl uniform. It's amusing. It'll be good once it's colored too, but that might take a while. If I get enough work done, I'll work on it later tonight. But that means I have to do work first. So... I'm done for now.
