Another Hero Down

Hah, so I've been to Avalon to hear Armin van Buuren and Above and Beyond, two of my favorite trance acts. However, the third that I'd always wanted to see was one of my early trance heroes - Ferry Corsten. And hey, guess what? He totally was there tonight. So of course, I had to go. I even got Sarah and Brett to come this time - I hope they enjoyed things as much as I did.

Oh man, tonight was so great. The tunes were massive, but although I recognized several, I couldn't really place them. The most exciting thing was that Ferry dropped both Punk and Rock Your Body Rock at the end, which I was totally not expecting because those songs are so old. It was really cool though, as Punk is the song that really got me interested in trance. I've never liked Rock Your Body Rock all that much, but it actually translates quite well to the dance floor. I was impressed. And it's been over a year since Ferry last played at Avalon (he did the New Year's show in 2005, I think), so I feel rather lucky to have been able to see him. Of course, I only started paying attention to Avalon's guest lineup this past fall... Armin's coming back in a few weeks. *_*

Every time I go to the club, it's like, the best experience ever. Maybe my memory is just that bad or something. Oh well, I enjoy it every time!

And on a completely unrelated note, I got my library job back. Yay money, and my true calling in life. XD
